Learning necessitates a complex interaction between the brain and bodily processes. You learn because your brain can weed out the irrelevant input (i.e., background noise) and save the crucial data for now or later use.

Neuroplasticity is the process through which the brain adapts continuously to an individual's sensory experiences. The electronic gating device used by the Tomatis® Method creates sound contrasts that trigger the brain's neural pathways.

This focuses on the brain's plasticity, or capacity to adapt to repeated stimuli or exposure. As a result, as the brain gains the ability to focus on auditory contrasts, it can automatically instruct the person to pay close attention to outside and novel events.

EMOTIONAL CONTROL The limbic system, which controls emotions, memory, and learning, is located in the brain's centre and is linked to the prefrontal cortex. The Tomatis® Method then steps in and stimulates these areas for improved performance.

With its focus on the vagus nerve (sympathetic and parasympathetic systems), the Tomatis® Method helps stressed and anxious people feel peaceful and relaxed. It directly impacts mental conditions like stress, anxiety, and depression in this way.

Emotional and behavioural effects of Auditory Processing Disorder (APD):

Children and adults with auditory processing disorders may be easily distracted and overwhelmed by everyday sounds and noises.

As a result, there is worry, frustration, and other negative behaviours like:

-inadequate or wrong answers to questions

-prone to distraction (ADHD/ADD)

-Ineffective work practises (e.g., lack of organisational skills, failure to fulfil deadlines)

-Noise in the background annoys me easily

-after a long day at work or school, is frequently emotionally unstable and worn out. Frequently forgets basic directions.

-require more practise and time; slow development at job or school

-Having trouble reading and speaking

-Easily perplexed
